Patrick & Soonja: March 2015

Dear Praying and Worshipping Friends,

He is good and His love endures forever! We always thank God for you all.

“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit.”
Please keep fervently praying for all God is doing here and wherever God has placed you. We have an immediate prayer request and those which are ongoing as we battle together. Thank you!

  • Urgent: It seems the government here in Gaziantep and the border regions around Syria have decided to stop issuing non-working resident permits to foreigners. Many workers in the region have residence in the country through this means, including us as a family…if this is true it would require having residence through a job here, as a student or starting a liaison office or business. Please pray! God will provide…
  • Pray for Beythur, Syrian Refugee school and pre-school. The facility is almost ready and we are working with local (Syrian refugees) teachers to prepare the program. For some who are directly involved with this or if you request we will send out a separate report and prayer letter for this work. We will run this as a Christian school with kids for families we know and have a relationship with. We plan to start with two groups (morning and afternoon) of 15 students with two age groups, 7-9, 10-12. Please pray for Soonja, Jenny, Nidal, Leyla and other teachers, to be prepared for this and for the right children and families to attend the school. Our goal is to see this kids know Jesus Christ, and become his disciples by providing standard schooling for them in a Christian, environment.
  • Also, we will be slowly starting a preschool and training for women and small children (Syrian refugees)
  • The church is growing, praise God! Please pray as we have a nice facility now but must leave May 31st as the building will be torn down. We hope to buy a building or possibly rent another.
  • Pray for Alpha program for new believers and inquirers. The program will be run by one Turkish and one foreign leader and one Turksish assistant.
  • Pray as God continues to work in Suruc across the border from Kobani. Six were baptized last month and over 15 received Jesus Christ as Lord and savior over the last two weeks in the camp. Pray for Farzad, Ibrahim, Ekrem, Andrew & Norene, Agit, Mehmet & Lois as the minister there and make many new disciples there.
  • Pray for Joseph, continuing at Black Forest in Germany, Kayra and Ilyas as they serve God here as kids on the field. Also for Patrick and Soonja to have strength, grace, wisdom for the work God has called us to.

We thank you as always and are so happy to be in partnership with you in Him!

In the Wonderful,
Patrick & Soonja, Joseph, Kayra, Ilyas
Gaziantep New Life Church

P.S. Thanks for praying as Patrick should receive his residence permit within two weeks…praise Him!
